Crowdfunding & Donation Pages
Create fundraising and donation campaigns with Deiza
Crowdfunding & Donation Pages
Deiza lets you build fundraising and donation pages directly as part of your website — no third-party platform needed.
Types of Donation Sections
There are two dedicated section types for collecting contributions:
Donations Section
A simple donation section that lets supporters send a one-off contribution. It links to your payment processor or a custom payment URL.
Good for: general donations, charity campaigns, tip jars.
Donation Tiers Section
A crowdfunding-style section showing multiple giving levels (e.g. $10, $25, $50, $100) with a progress bar showing total raised vs. a goal amount.
Good for: fundraising campaigns with targets, Patreon-style support tiers, community projects.
Adding a Donation Section
- In the website editor, click the + button to add a new section
- Go to the Commerce category
- Choose Donations or Donation Tiers
- AI generates suggested tier amounts and descriptions based on your campaign context
- Edit the amounts, descriptions, and button text as needed
Setting Up Payments
Each donation button needs a checkout URL — either a connected payment processor or a manual link.
- Stripe / Paystack / Lemon Squeezy: Set up via Settings > Payment Processors, then select the provider in the Products tab and click Generate Links
- PayPal: Use a PayPal.me link (e.g. paypal.me/yourname/AMOUNT) — see Payment Links
- Custom: Use any payment URL from platforms like Ko-fi, Gumroad, Buy Me a Coffee, or a bank transfer reference link
Donation Tiers Configuration
For the Donation Tiers section, each tier card includes:
- Amount — the contribution amount displayed prominently
- Title — e.g. "Supporter", "Champion", "Founding Member"
- Description — what the donor gets or why this amount matters
- Checkout URL — the payment link for this tier
- Progress bar — set a funding goal to display how much has been raised
Progress totals are updated manually by editing the "raised" amount in the section editor, or automatically when using a connected processor.
Funding Page URLs
Deiza publishes crowdfunding pages at:
- yoursite.deiza.io (your main site with a donations section)
- fund/yourslug (dedicated funding page if you build a focused fundraising site)
Best Practices
- Add a clear headline explaining what the campaign is for
- Include a compelling story in an About section above the tiers
- Add a FAQ section to answer common donor questions
- Use a testimonials or supporters section to show social proof
- Embed a short video in a Video Banner section for higher conversion
